Have you met Graham?
I saw this story a few weeks ago and it made me smile.
I love the fact that Graham has now become a local celebrity! Looks like he made an excellent choice for a cool hangout.

Hull Fair
Slightly off topic but for those of you who don't live in Hull it is Hull Fair Week.
Hull Fair is an annual 8 day event in October which is more than 700 years old and is the largest travelling fair in Europe.
I'm lucky to live close by so love to go with my camera and get some shots.
I went early on Sunday when the fair was closed. I have never been to the fair when it's closed and it was obviously a completely different atmosphere. Very eerie and creepy! The weather was typical Hull Fair weather as we locals call it, windy wet and cold. The fairground was completly deserted when I went apart from crows.
I got soaked through taking the photos and quickly left when one of the rides started moving on its own!

Small Pet and Cat Care
Hi Guys
Thanks for all those who have voted for the centre. Last count is at 174 so nearly at the vital 200 vote.
If they get 200 votes they will recieve a donation of at least £1500 depending on where they come out of the 4, if they get 1st it will be £5000.
£5000 would do so much for those cats that really need their help.
This is the link to vote please take a minute and vote if not already done so

My step brother adopted his cat from them just this monday night, the cat is still a little shy but im sure will settle in well. He is handsome cat from the pictures I have seen. Small Pet and Cat Care found him hiding in the bushes in the snow :( He has been in their care since.
I will get some photographs given permission to post and once he is ready to meet new people.
Please vote! It would be amazing to get them this fantastic donation which would do so much!

The Stray One
The stray is still around, I have posted on various sites but nothing.
He seems to be trusting me more though ! I was sunbathing and felt something on my leg, I looked down and there he was snuggling up to me in the sun :)
His ear looks healed and is pointing the right way now!
I keep him going by feeding him some but not much as I don't want him to rely on me. Plus I need to make sure Rambo and Gypsy don't fell threatened - so far so good.
However here is a great shot of him opposite my garden keeping an eye on us

Ghost is Sebastian!!
So just had a call that Ghost is Sebastian and actually lives across the street!!
His humans are on holiday and he has gone in a sulk!! Dramatic cat who would of thought it haha!
So his leg is due to him over grooming and he is on treatment so panic over.
Ghost - update please read
So Ghost has been back tonight and I have noticed she has an injured leg.
It does not look like a bite mark but its very sore and red. She is limping and i am concerned that she is injured and looks without a home. She won't let me get close to her to check her leg out.
She has taken a little food but has gone since Rambo and Gypsy came out.
I have spoken to a local who thinks she may know who Ghost may belong to and Ghost maybe a he not she! for some reason I have assumed she is a she. So I am just waiting to hear.
If she does not belong to anyone we are going to get someone from rescue centre to check if she chipped and is in good health
Ill keep you updated. Here are a few photos I got last week. If anyone recognises her please get in touch
Missing Kittens - update
On my way to work this morning I saw these posters.
Two missing kittens one black and white the other a tabby
Update
Aw bless, these kittens have gone into rescue, the local children were helping us to see if there were any more that we hadn't found, we think mum has had them outside and may have been spooked in the middle of moving them as one was found quite a distance away from the others. They are all doing well x

Can anyone help this cat in need?????????
PLEASE HELP!
My friend found a cat on Perth Street a few weeks ago. She was in quite a state and her skin was suffering. RSPCA could not help so Animal Welfare stepped up and she has been staying at the vets as there is no room at the shelter.
She is chipped but there has been no success contacting her owners, I suspect due to her condition she was abandoned.
She has been lucky so far as the vets have nearly put her down twice; she is being treated for dermatitis and ringworm.
Unfortunately my friend cannot give her home so we are desperate for someone to give her a home as if not she is likely to be put down
I do not have a photo yet but she is black and white and has obviously been loved as she is friendly and lets you tickle her tummy.
Can anyone help? Obviously due to her current condition she will need to be kept inside as ringworm is highly contagious and they maybe some future vet costs.
It would break my heart if due to no one being able to give her home and after all she has been through the end result is being put down.
UPDATE
I have just spoken to my friend to get more details, Animal Welfare originally told him to take her to vets then they would pick her up. However during her time at vets a load of kittens was dumped so they do not have any room for her now and now have not taken responsibility for her.
The vets cannot keep her that’s why she has been in danger of being put down because no one has taken responsibility for her. She has been treated for dermatitis and had a test yesterday to see if has ringworm (results take a week to come back so it is not confirmed).
My friend and their next-door neighbour have put money to pay for vet bills. Apparently next-door now have her but because of their grandchildren the poor little thing is outside in a makeshift shelter.
I think even if we could find a temporary home would be much better than this current situation.

Moscow Cat Theatre
Hi
Saw this on Daily Mail - not really sure what to think about this!!
Are the cats enjoying it? Is it cruel?
How do they train them?
I know from my experience of cats I could not train them to do this.
Cats basically do what they want and certainly Rambo and Gypsy do not perform tricks nor could I teach them!

Gypsy uses one life
So at the beginning of January we had a big scare involving Gypsy.
After a lovely night chilling in front of the fire with rambo and gypsy I decided it was time for bed so headed to the bathroom to wash up. I did what I had to and headed to my bedroom, when I got to the landing I noticed gypsy looking very spooked and curled up. I did not know what was up with her because I thought she had been chilled in front of the fire.
I picked her up and noticed she was wet all on one side and there was blood on her neck. She cried and went under my bed. I ducked down to see her and she was very shaken, I managed to get her out from under the bed to the top. I checked her neck and the wound did not seem to be deep or flowing so I cleaned her up best I could and let her be, she really wanted to be left alone.
My first thought was that another cat had got her after a little while she jumped down from the bed and her back legs gave way. I panicked and checked to see if she was alright, I could not see any further wounds or feel broken bones so decided best thing was rest and see what morning brought. I did not check her too much as I was afraid of hurting her, but seeing nothing too serious or obvious I thought rest is the best thing.
Every morning Rambo and Gypsy are up and waiting to be fed before my alarm goes off, they wait in my room not patiently trying to scratch my feet and open the blind to let the sunlight in. This particular morning Rambo was waiting on the landing, I got up, fed Rambo but it was obvious gypsy was not there. I tried not to panic and to think positive, I found gypsy on the spare bed she was breathing but not as alert as she normally is plus she did not get up for food so I knew I had to take her to vets.
At the vets she was still the same not very alert and the vet said she was very poorly. I tried not to let emotions take over, I was still getting over Cyril so I just thought positive.
The vet said it looked like Gypsy had been attacked by a dog or fox,she had puncture wounds in her head and neck so it looks like the animal had gypsy by the head and ragged her about, that's why she was unsteady on her feet.
So Gypsy was on a drip all day and got cleared up, after numerous check up phone calls, a very worried upset owner was allowed to take her home.
I got her home and she went straight for her food bowl - this was an amazing sign she was feeling better, she ate a little then went to sleep in the hallway which is a new place for her. Rambo was really good with her, he checked her over and just kept her in his sight, he is a good big brother:)
Gypsy the next day was eating and looking much better! I took her to vets few days later and the vet was surprised how well she was doing!! she said that she is a very lucky cat and has defintly used one of her lives!!
I can not tell you how happy and relived I was!! She was kept in for a little while and now the cat flap is open and she is out and about again. She seems to be more aware of her surroundings which is good because before she had no fear!! A lesson well learnt!!
The photo below is of Gypsy when she first came home that night, she is a little dazed from the drugs! the vets at chanterlands vets were great and really had gypsy's wellbeing in mind all the way through I can not thank them enough!

Snow Day
So the snow finally reached Hull and settled saturday morning. I headed out to the local park to get some snow shots on the way back I kept my eye out for our feline friends.
Most of our feline friends had the right idea and was tucked up inside nice and warm however I did manage to meet two cats.
This one below was being very vocal I think he/she was asking to be let back at the front door, probably did not want to walk around to the back way

The black cat below is another new resident he/she has been around for a few months, very sleek and fast - I have to be fast and not delay when taking shots hence the last picture being slightly out of focus however I think it works and gives you insight to the cats personality. I love the shot of him/her crossing the pavement he is like a panther!

Meet Asbo Cat
So a new cat arrived on the street last year. He is black and white, half of his face is mostly black. He is also the same size as Rambo if not a little bigger!
When I first saw Asbo Cat it was in the garden he just looked at me like I interrupted him! He seems to have quite a attitude! I have noticed him throwing his weight around with the other cats maybe he is just going the wrong way making friends :)
Rambo had kept an eye on Asbo from the safety of his lookout, he only goes out after them when he sees the cats leaving and he can sneak up on them!
Asbo had been visiting the garden alot much to the dislike of Rambo and Gypsy but I had not witnessed any confrontation however Asbo was about to cross the line.
One night in the early hours I was woken up by that horrible howling cat sound it took me a few seconds to realise it was downstairs. I got up and ventured downstairs to find little Gypsy and a massive Asbo in the front room!! He made a swift exit and Gypsy was spooked for awhile.
Since then we have had many little late night visits from Asbo! I could shut the cat flap at night but I like to give Rambo and Gypsy the freedom to go out if they wish. The visits are less frequent now.
Asbo is not bothered what mayhem he causes I think it's a great game he is playing! Once I opened the front door and he was just sat there looking at me - it was if he was warning me he knows the house front and back haha.
Once Rambo came flying through the cat flap at full speed ran through the dining room and upstairs - there was a flash of white following Rambo. I went upstairs to find Rambo and Asbo in my room! I think Asbo was so focused on chasing Rambo he did not realise where he was! Rambo also looked confused as chases normally end at the cat flap and he is safe once he gets through!
So photos are below are when Asbo came to see Rambo from his lookout point, Rambo was not pleased that Asbo seemed to be mocking him! These photos are a little similar when Gypsy first made her appearance :)
Asbo recognises me now and does have a little miaow at me so I think overall he is very keen on making friends!!
